But at the same time, due to industrial revolutions all over the world, the environmental changes also took place on a very rapid speed. There were big changes in average temperatures, less rainfall (droughts) and soil erosion, expansion in urban population and many other factors. Since the beginning of 21st century, the world realized that due to these rapid changes in environments and rapid increase in world population, the world still needs to make advancements and technologies to meet the current and ever-increasing population around the world. The estimated current population of the world is 7.2Billion and expected to be 10B in 1950 or earlier.
