Since almost hundred years, the face of agriculture all over the world has changed due to advancements in many aspects of the crop production. Before 1950, all of agriculture and horticulture crop productions being done in soil and out in the fields. But then slowly, crop production advancements took place on very rapid pace and from new seed varieties to genetic engineering, new types of equipment, tractors, sprayers, crop nutrients, new pesticides and so many other new technologies being developed. There were also developments in greenhouse production systems from poly tunnels to most advanced glass greenhouse with full control of growing environment.
But at the same time, due to industrial revolutions all over the world, the environmental changes also took place on a very rapid speed. There were big changes in average temperatures, less rainfall (droughts) and soil erosion, expansion in urban population and many other factors. Since the beginning of 21st century, the world realized that due to these rapid changes in environments and rapid increase in world population, the world still needs to make advancements and technologies to meet the current and ever-increasing population around the world. The estimated current population of the world is 7.2Billion and expected to be 10B in 1950 or earlier.
In last 20 years, decrease in arable land and water scarcity, a new Indoor Farming Technology (Urban Vertical Farms) being developed to address these two very crucial aspects of the crop productions. The Indoor Farms also called CEA (Control Environment Agriculture)
